Nice job. My son, Jordan, has been doing this for several years using GarageBand and a Macbook. He recorded his album using his keyboard and a Tascam Midi interface. GarageBand has inspired many aspiring musicians! Check Jordan out at:

You will be impressed at what GarageBand can do.

Does anybody else find the title of this article hilarious? "Teen Uses GarageBand, Macbook to Record Album"... uhhh, yeah. Isn't that what you're supposed to do with it?
Imagine similar titles - "Microsoft Word User Successfully Write Business Letter" or "Photographer Resizes Image Using Photoshop".
It's positively Onionesque.

Wow, I don't know what is with you guys. The article's author wasn't amazed that a teen recorded an album with GB, he was amazed that he found some local talent that made an album with GB that was really good and that was actually selling on iTunes. Sure, lots of kids make music but not lots of kids sound like this guy.

Young Mister Wile,
Way to Go!
Ever since I first bought Garageband (Version 1) as it was
not even around when we bought our Imac (half dome with
LCD screen ) I have amazed at for its cost just how deep
the program is) we soon added two eMAc's a 1.0ghz with 40Gb HD and a1.25 ghz with 80Gb HD and put 1Gb of ram in each.
I use GB 2now (and GB primary user in the house) and bought the initial Jam Pack (which was discontinued but I thought very
diverse,a 3rd party pack Sonic Boom Box (a lot of loops but
plenty of virtual instruments as well (but I have a M-Audio
Radium 49 and when using Sonic Boom Box a keyboard set up
is required or you end up using about the left 25% of the
midi controller (I take it it requires a full 88 key midi
controller (I have watched the demo's and read the limited
instructions) I would pass on that product, I also got
Idrum (when it was owned by Glaresoft, then M-Audio and now
Izotopye, not bad but I use a Korg Pad Kontrol as well
and it is more user friendly (to me)
But back to GB (IMO) it is the best link to (almost) plug and play recording, I bought one paperback manual which helped me , and there is a lot of free ware out there as far as audio units and loops, I started with loops but now
rarely use them except to practice with through monitor
and my guitar(S) through a Atomic Reactor Amp (now part of www.fractalaudio.com (which holds
a Line 6 Podxt and also a Vox Tonelab + others direct or via effets loop and takes the digital signal and the amp being a 18 watt tube slave amp
you get a extremely realistic tube sound. I have heard great things about Native Instruments and other programs as well. I have DAW's (lite versions) of Mac versions of
Reason, Abelton Lite and full version of Mackie Tracktion
(they gave version one away for about a week when they brought out Version Two and I was forunate to read about it, download it and get a license for it.BUT IN ALL HONESTY I would much rather use Apple's Garageband! It is
fun , not mind boggling like the P tools program people rave about. I would love to try Logic (but can not justify
the cost yet as I have not reached a point with GB where
I am unable to do something I want to do! (I would also need a much faster Mac! Giles Congrats on your work and
I am sure envious of having 60 guitars! That Gretsch looks
vintage!
There is a very good site for GB users of all abilities
and people who have ?'s etc www.macjams.com
its free to post music just sign up for a free account
I post as dwwave
I use multiple guitars into primarily a Podxt (with 3 model packs) or a Vox Tonelab (recent add ons a Boss SL-20
Slicer,a Electro-Harmonix Stereo Memory Man with Hazari and a Roger Linn Adrennnalin III (i had a version II and you could buy the two chips from his company to make it a version III (unusal for a company to do that!) cool tool!
a Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter, Good quality cables help
(you can get them down the road) Monster Cable or Mogami
are real nice, I heard a huge difference when I switched out, I use a Tascam US-122 USB interface for guitars, microphones and it has RCS outs for M-Audio Monitors and
SHure SM-57 and SHure SM-58 and a Sennheiser microphone
and a set of Whirlwind midi cables.
Keep on Going! and New Users Go for It! You would be suprised at the # of Pro's who use GB as a sketch pad or more!

I've done this as well:
http://itunes.apple....235268&s=143455
Our five-song EP was recorded, mixed and mastered entirely in GarageBand 2 and 3, with a little help from SoundStudio 3, on my mini G4. I use a two-channel Edirol interface to get the audio into my Mac.
I've always believed that professional quality could be achieved using GarageBand, and it's great to see there are others who agree. The only feature I wish Apple would add is the ability to place markers at points in the timeline you wish to note for further editing etc.
Keep on creating!
