I have to completely disagree with this review. My whole family, myself included, really enjoys playing POTC on the mac and on pc's. I know it must come as a shock, but not everyone loves World of Warcraft. Pirates is a great alternative.
Our graphics have never been buggy or horrible as described, and that's even on a two-year old mac without the latest graphics card. The servers have also never seemed slow to me. I also have to disagree that the quests seem tedious, as there are plenty of options for stuff to do. The kid-friendly aspect should not be a "con." Rather, I find that to be a "pro." I think its a positive factor that the game has appeal for more than the 20-35 year-old male demographic.
Regarding the price, the $5/mo. is introductory, and then it goes to $9.95/mo. When I think of other stuff I've wasted $10 on, this is a bargain.
