I have a 2 Ghz MacBook with 2 GB Ram and soon a 350 GB 7200 WD hard drive (I'm upgrading the existing 80 GB drive and HDDs are so cheap, I might as well get a large one for $20 more than a small one).
Mid-year, I will replace this MacBook with an up to date model (perhaps a MacBook Pro). Question is, What are some interesting uses for the existing MacBook?
I don't want to sell it -- it would have utility to me far in excess of monetary value.
Can it somehow be used as a home server? Can I somehow hook it up to my television and use it as a media center?
If there are no good uses for it, I'll probably elect not to upgrade the HDD and just let my 3-year old have it.
Thanks in advance!

What can I use my "old" MacBook for? Suggestions appreciated.

There are a lot of ideas such as putting on a shelf and using as a digital picture frame.
But one good use for old computers is, if you have the room, add it to a common room such as the kitchen so you can quickly get on the web to double check things such as recipes, etc. Or add a recipe program to it and turn it into the home cookbook.
