I know there must be a way to do this in Mail, but I cannot find it in Mail Preferences. Also, at one time I knew some key strokes to remove the vertical lines from email before forwarding it on, but I have forgotten them. Can someone tell me what setting to use to as the default preference and also what key stroke to use to remove them. Thanks,

Mail: How to Stop the vertical blue lines in forwarded mail?

Thank you for the answer. I finally got it to work. I learned that it would only work after I had addressed the "forwarded" email. At first, I clicked on Forward, then highlighted the quoted text with the vertical lines, then clicked on Format, Quote Level and Decrease and nothing happened. I would then address it and send it to myself. The lines were still there. However, if I clicked on "Forward" then first put in the address and after that went through the other steps, the lines would disappear as soon as I clicked on "Decrease". I had to click on Decrease more than once to get rid of additional vertical lines.
Thank you so much.
