For what it is worth, the Live Update link for the iPhone doesn't seem to go to an iPhone-formatted page -- at least not when I access it from Safari on my iPod Touch...

the page for my iphone works fine... fits on the screen right and everything

We modified the mobile template to include iPod touch. Dump your cookies and try again.

Yeah, just noticed the Apple Store is already down, and were about 40 minutes away from the start of the keynote. Very odd. I don't think I've ever seen them take it down this early. Has anyone else?
