"Wow, the feed on Macrumorslive.com just got hacked HARD. lul."

No kidding... I was watching that when all of a sudden "9:24 Steve Jobs has died" came up... I thought it was breaking news... but then all hell broke loose...

Too bad www.macrumorslive.com got hacked so bad - I found their coverage more interesting and timely than that of MacWorld.

Yeah, that was very strange. Panicked for just a moment. Then a retraction from the site and then a second hack and it went down right after, Oh well. Guess they need to work out their security a bit better.

So, so far, we have iLife 09 and iWork 09, and Phil mentioned 3 things he wanted to talk about. That doesn't leave much room for many new Macs. Maybe the mini will be updated, but that's probably it. There had better be at least a small hardware update. It can't be all software focused or it will be kind of a disappointment.

While I think it's cool that they keep working on iLife and iWork - I think it would have made more sense to keep each on a two year cycle, so that each year a new suite was out. If they move to a new suite every year, I think even fewer people will upgrade than if they stuck with every two years - as they seem to have been doing in the past.

So far iLife looks more like a "wow" than iWork, though I'll probably get both anyway.

Your sarcasm about products you aren't interested in is inappropriate, unprofessional, childish, and just plain asinine. It may not be interesting to you, but it might be very interesting to your readers. I don't think these guys should be allowed to go to any Apple event on your behalf again.

Grow up.

Dan -- Apple may think twice about ignoring user comments after the Mobile Me debacle, especially during beta period.

Looks like Apple is trying to give Google a run for it's money with iWork.com. Not sure that's the best use of resources - I think I would just like the apps and hardware to work better - or be cheaper, if they are going to speed up the rate of new versions.

17" MacBook Pro -- still has FireWire, you can get matte screen (for $50 extra)...that should quiet down most of the complainers. But what about the battery?

Still unsure about the non-swappable batteries, but I'll reserve judgement for now.

Great - a power house laptop for the fraction of people that have the resources for such a beast.

The MacMini is way over due for improvement and is spot on for a far larger segment of the market than a portable Mac Pro system.

Sheesh, Apple - pay attention to the economics and help us out!
