Morris -- Could be that Steve wanted to keep those babies for himself, as part of his "grand comeback"...plus they might be far enough away from being ready for prime time that they don't want to aggravate the potential consumers. I'd say watch for a "special event" around April or May...call it women's intuition.

What a crappy showing.
OMG, no New Mac Minis, no new upgraded iMacs, no new Apple TVs and where the hell is Snow Leopard? Microsoft is showing off Windows 7 beta and Apple is sleeping. Come on People.
All we got was updated iWorks, iLife, 17" Macbook Pro with a $50 dollar extra charge for anti glare screen and DRM free iTunes.
The only good news was iTunes being DRM free finally.

What a waste, in these tough times and all the hardware intro'd was a 17" MacBook Pro? WOW Apple you should sell a lot of those! iWork.Com I figure this to be another Mobile Me fiasco. At least they plan a beta for free. Apple has made the right decission by pulling out of Macworld. Maybe someone can answer how are we gonna reset the 17" when it crashes? Can't take the battery out anymore? $2800 and you have to pay $50 to get matte screen? Just great Apple.

I agree with you man. Apple started 2009 in the wrong foot. Come on, $50 dollar charge just to get a regular Matte Screen? please. I always hated the shiny screens.
Introducing an expensive 17" Macbook Pro in these crappy economic times is not going to make profit for Apple. We needed cheaper consumer hardware. Apple TV, Mac Minis or maybe a cheaper Mac Tower. I think CES 2009 will be better with hardware from other companies.
I have been with Apple forever I love their operating system and style but I hope they do not think their followers are too dumb to buy into everything with Apple written on it.
I always see Apple take a feature away from a product and then charge extra for it later if you must have it back in. It sucks. I hope Apple makes up later for this horrible showing at Macworld 2009.
