Apple has become a boring company...rehashing the same old stuff...and extremely overpriced now. A 17" MacBook Pro for $3000... who you kidding. Even the low end MacBook Pro is $2000 with taxes. If Windows wasn't so prone to spyware. crapware, viruses, etc I would go back. But, I'm tired of cleaning up all my relatives computers. I've told them all to get Mac Minis. In fact the last fix for my sister was taking her Dell and installing Ubuntu Linux. She loves it. VG

Big Whoop! Not! Where is the new Mac Mini for Gods Damn sake!
Yay, another should-be-free web service from apple that will be down as often as iTunes and mobile-me and and update ot an already too expensive notebook to make it even more expensive.
How hard it to just up the CPU speed and max memory capacity in the mini without changing anything else! Hell just being able to add more then 3GB RAM would be a huge improvement. A better video card would be nice, but I already have a games console. If Apple updated this, they would have my money in a heartbeat.
I don't need a note book, and I already have a great 24" monitor so I don't need an iMac and I don't have the deskspace or $4000+ for a Mac Pro.
I can see why they didn't turn out in force to Macworld - nothing new to see, move along 8(

"I totally agree, very cynical. MacWorld Mag is doomed Snell stinks!! " I have no idea what you are agreeing with. If you are thinking of my earlier posting about his live coverage, I scarcely meant this as a personal criticism of the guy. I just said he and his pal were in the position of a couple of sportscasters covering a game when there's no game worth covering. Sure, they floundered. Anybody would. Doesn't say anything bad about them at all.

I am new to this stuff "blogging". I am a new user to Macs only 2 1/2 years LOL. My ex-partner turned me on to Macs. My First one was a 1.4Ghz G4 Mac Mini and then I just got a new 24" 2.8 Ghz iMac this past Sept. But, with my next student loan I am getting a new MacBook Pro, I was going to get a Fully loaded MacBook but with I talked to several People for what $$ I have getting an entry level MacBook Pro with the two graphic Chip. I also found out that I can get 4 GB kit and save $80.
I am into Photo Restoration and I went back to school after 20 + years and at 55 year old it's a hard going back to school with 19-22 year olds.
I hope to finish in the fall of 2010 with a AA in Fine Arts and a Minor in Graphic Design. But to get the point I wish that Apple would do the same to the 15" MacBook Pro with respect to the Memory (4-8 GB) and Batteries. I also hope the release OS 10.6 is soon so. Well, People I guess I said my Peace, I can be reached at screamingtut@sbcglobal.net.
