Unable to Sync Blackberry 8320 with MAC

Can anyone help????

I am trying to sync my Blackberry Curve with Pocket MAC but keep an error message saying "[09:48:32.790] Unable to connect to BlackBerry (error 1); skipping." any ideas how to rectify this?
