Strange, this is the first I noticed this.
A number of songs I have
in iTunes show, with a get info through IT, a 'kind' of QuickTime Movie
file. The files end in MP3 and play in iTunes or a burned CD just fine.
But the media feature of TiVo doesn't recognize it.
When I move the file to my Leopard running iTunes 8, it shows 'MPEG audio file' and TiVo sees it fine.
Get
info on the files thru the finder show MP3, no hint of QT movie file. I
tried using the 'convert to MP3' within iTunes as well, no luck.

How can I permanantly convert that, as in regular finder view it looks no different only in the iTune view does it show thjis weirdness?

I know what I was doing wrong.

iTunes has a "convert to MP3" option which works great. I was just looking at the songs in a playlist. When I chose to convert, the MP3 version was in the general Music view only. I needed to add it to the playlist and remove the 'bad' file.

Simple issue, just not my day.
