With the last keynote a few days ago at Macworld, Phil told us we can now buy and download music from the iTunes Music Store on iPhones and iPodTouches the same as we would from our computer, and it will sync it back to your library stored there.

However, I'd like some clarification on Podcasts. Are those included in the deal? How about podcasts that aren't run through the iTunes store, or even appear there when you search, but are available through a 3rd-party? I happen to pay for a subscription to one that while it uses iTunes to sync to their server, it never even goes through apple at any point.

If I could be assured that I can download my podcasts onto an iPhone or iPodTouch, that could be that straw that finally convinced me to buy one of those pieces of hardware. My workplace filters out all video and audio downloads, so if I want to go pick up some podcasts over lunch, I'd love to be able to use the WiFi at the restaurant down the street with one of these mobiles and leave the laptop at home.

Anyone know any details yet?
