I have an iPod touch, and just bought a nano to use the iPod+Nike dealie. When I plug in the new nano, will I be able to add the exact same library to the new 'pod? Or will my current library just work with my touch?

Thanks, guys!!

I am no expert but my experience has been that my girlfriend and I have 3 iPods. One 1 gig and two 8 gigs.

We use them interchangeably on our two compuers, a MacBook Pro and an iMac 24". We also manually manage the music.

Easy: You can sync an unlimited number of iPods and iPhones with the same library (but can only have tracks purchased using up to 5 different iTunes Store accounts) . There are only restrictions for the number of computers that can be authorized, or how many times a playlist can be burned to CD.

For a full list of restrictions see: http://en.wikipedia....ay#Restrictions

As others have already stated, no restriction exists on the number of iPods that you may sync to a single iTunes library. What you cannot do is sync a single iPod to multiple libraries; that is, if you have your iPod synced to computer A, its contents will be erased if you sync to computer B. You may be able to get around the latter limitation by having manual syncing set up in your syncing preferences as Alan states he and his girlfriend do. I do not use my iPods between computers and I have no reason to doubt Alan when he states that such an incidental? feature exists.

? I refer to the ability to manually sync between multiple libraries incidental because many of the longstanding limitations in iTunes are about placating the music industry. As such, one of the features of iTunes is that you get a warning dialog that your iPod will be erased if you attempt to sync an iPod that has content from one computer to another computer. The reason for this is to ?prevent? people from using their iPod to collect music from friends by simply syncing to their iTunes library. Syncing an iPod between a Mac and a Wintel PC is pretty much impossible due to the different file structures: Macs recognize and read NTFS volumes but cannot write to them and Windows ignores any volume not formatted with a Microsoft file structure.
