I know it's hard to pin down just five (and many good games get excluded), but it seems like this list is missing the original Myst - designed on Macs (originally in Hypercard, even), and pushed the limits of the genre (and the medium - CD-ROM games were not common at the time).
But again, hard to know which of the five above I would exclude - any game that had Windows gamers envying Mac gamers (Marathon, Escape Velocity, Dark Castle) was a good thing.

For me the best games I've played are Strategic Conquest and Spaceward Ho!
Neither are around any more but I've sure accumulated a lot of hours on both of them. One Strategic Conquest game between me & my ex lasted from a Friday evening until late Sunday night.
I prefer strategy games well above the finger twitchy games. Wish I could find a really good submarine warfare game (networked).

I think it's telling that the games in this article are 10 years old or older. Mac gaming development hasn't evolved as we would like. Here's what I posted in the other gaming article:
The Mac still plays second fiddle -- or more accurately, is mostly an afterthought after the PC and console versions are successful. Even with Cider, it doesn't seem like the game selection for the Mac has improved at all.

I think it's telling about John Siracusa's taste in Mac games, but little else. Had I been left to write this article, it would have been pretty different.
As to the rest of your assessment about Mac games, there's some truth to it, but I'm not really interested in defending Mac games at this point. It's plain to see your mind is made up about how awful the market is; my words aren't going to change that.
