Anyone have this for Mac? Any impressions on it? Like? Dislike? Any noticable performance hit?

I'm trying to find reviews on this product and can only find one (that's linked on Symantec's site) so I'd like to see what others have to say. Maybe a review topic MacWorld Mag, hmm??

Thanks!

You do not need AV software. This is an absolute waste of money.

right, I know or read all that since I've made the switch. However, there is a benefit to getting a symantec product on my Mac. I can then use it at work as to use it on the network my IT department requires having Norton Anti-Virus installed and running. I've so far refused but saw this newly released product and was hoping there was an improvement over NAV 11.

So, thanks for the response but it doesn't answer my question. Anyone use NIS 4.0? Impressions?

If you've refused, then continue to refuse, you do not need it for your mac.

-Hi,

I feel your pain...a tad. My bro teaches autoCAD and StudioMAX at a JC and they also require AV software. Not an answer for you, but he refuses to bring his Apple laptop to his class for that simple reason. Symantec utilities haven't proven their software to play nicely w/ Mac's.
