MacBook (13-inch), white, intel core duo 2GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HD.
Here are the symptoms:
* with A/C plugged in, and a good battery in, when I press the power button, no sounds or chimes, just the white power light comes on.
* With A/C UNPLUGGED, and a good battery in, nothing. Absolutely no life.
* Will not charge battery when plugged in
* battery is good - charged it in another MacBook
* A/C adaptor looks good - no signs of wear - get the typical green light, then orange light when I connect it. One caveat - sometimes, but not all the time, the green light will flash once quickly then turn to green then orange.
* RAM is OK - tested in another MacBook
* HD is OK - scanned it with Drive Genius and also put a known good HD in this faulty MacBook and got the same symptoms
Also tried resetting PRAM, PMU, but can't even get to start booting.
I do lots of my own repairs - took off the upper case and keyboard and
the logic board looks great. no signs of damage. in fact looks better
than any other I've seen.
Are these signs of the logic board being randomly fried?

any ideas for a source of a cheap replacement?
thnx
