I have tried this app and it's nice but still in comparison to using netnewswire with it's partnering application on the mac I don't think it's worth the 2.99

Kate and all readers, I am the developer of Feeds and just wanted to offer up a quick correction to the review posted. You can in fact create a new folder. All you need to do is while on the main feed screen touch the Edit button. Touch the feed you want to add to a folder and you will be prompted to choose an existing folder or create a new one.
Thanks for the review!
Mike

What do you mean the font can't be adjusted? There's a setting called "Feed Details Font Size". There's another to change the color from green. And, if you edit a particular feed you will notice a field for category where you can add a new category.
The review was rightfully positive but overall incompetent.

I made the switch from Byline to Feeds as well. I loved Byline for a good while, but the 'wood-grain' interface was tacky looking. I appreciate that Feeds lets us customize the colors with a few options and looks much slicker than Byline's wood stuff.
I use google reader a lot, and this app really does a good job with the syncing. And it's faster than byline too, imo.
Well worth the $2.99.

I used this app for quite awhile. However, lately have stopped using it in favor of the Safari-based Google Reader itself.
In recent updates, I have found Feeds to be:
-- very slow in synching. Often I've got a few minutes to read some articles, I can't spend over a minute waiting for feeds, especially when Google Reader does it in seconds
-- it will show the numeral for unread articles, but clicking into that feed shows many more article shown as unread, even if I read them already on my desktop. The number is accurate usually, but why all these other articles? Yes, I set google reader options to only show unread.
-- article titles that have html tags show the tags instead of the styling (e.g. the site bolded a word). I don't really care about the styling, but I don't like seeing the html code
-- emailing an article from Google Reader/Safari is much faster
I used to use feeds religiously while eating breakfast, and checking in a few times a day waiting for meetings to start. But the speed especially has put me off and I can no longer recommend it.

Has anyone tried NewsStand? I was surprised that of wasn't included in the review. think it's a great product. I liked Feeds, but like NewsStand even better, however, if Feeds has been updated recently, I haven't tried the latest updates, so I can't speak to that.

Another option is Doppler, which I've been using for a few months (I'm just a user, I have no affiliation with the developer.) Doppler is also a Google Reader application that allows you to select which feeds you want to synchronize (i.e. saves time syncing only important feeds when I'm away from my computer), with a clean interface allowing starring, sharing, emailing links, offline reading. It works well, but it's not perfect - on rare occasions I have to use Google Reader on iPhone Safari.
But thanks for the review on Feeds. It used to drive me nuts that all iPhone RSS reader articles always mention Byline like it's the gold standard for comparison. Wood-grain appearance aside, The first few updates of Byline that I tried were never able to sync large amounts of feeds.
