Then again, I've seen developers make those same errors in their user manuals and help files so I'm not sure that's indicative of much other than the state of our education system.

I can provide you with plenty of apps that have only 5-star reviews, and the reviewers have only reviewed those products.
But that's not the worst. The worst is many great, glowing reviews are 1-star! It makes the spread of stars hard to read. Apparently, apple defaults to '1-star' when you just write a review w/o rating.
And all this from a company that claims UI and usability are its top priority. We should demand more from Apple, we have a right to complain because of the Apple Tax.
The apps store, and iTunes are an embarrassment.
