iTunes cannot sync photos from iPhoto - can't find library

I've tried all the suggestions found through Google searches. No luck.

While updating, iTunes pops up a dialogue window that states:

iTunes cannot sync photos to the iPod "My iPod" because your iPhoto library could not be found. Open iPhoto to create or update your iPhoto Library.

iPhoto finds and uses its library just fine. If iPhoto sees the library, what's up with iTunes not finding it?

iTunes 8.1; iPhoto 7.1.5, OS X 10.5.6
