Camcorders for Mac

I would like to buy a HD camcorder that uses a memory card and is Mac friendly. I want to be able to connect it to my mac and download media to either iMovie or Quick time. I have searched all the reviews but can't find any solid information, does anyone have a reconmendation?

Here is a list of camcorders and known compatibility problems for Final Cut Express. Because support for camcorders is built into OSX it should be the same for iMovie.
