Hi,

I'm looking for a way to change what mail application that is launched when choosing "File - Mail Document" from Preview (produces the same result as choosing Send File from Finder).

I have selected Thunderbird as my default app in Mail but even so Mail launches rather than Thunderbird. I have also installed an app called Default Apps and changed all "mail related" items to trigger Thunderbird rather than Mail.

Does anyone have an answer to this problem?

Cheers.

My Mac is being repaired and I can't test this one, but do other mail tasks get correctly routed? For example, does clicking a mail link on a webpage work?

Also, are you using FileVault by any chance?

Does the same thing for me (from Preview), even though I have Entourage set as my default mail program. Clicking on an email address on a web page does properly open up Entourage, however. It might be a "bug" (or feature) of the Mac OS.

I am not using FireVault.

If I enter a link like mailto:sdfsdf@sdf.com in my browser then Thunderbird opens (correctly).
