Can a MacBook replace a 12-inch PowerBook?

Nope - can't give up my 12" PB. It's the perfect size. My daughter has the 13 MacBook and the footprint is too big. Doesn't matter to me that the Air, for example, is thinner and lighter - anything wider than what is needed for the keyboard is a waste.

Would like and new fast Intel laptop and probably would have succumbed to the new MacBook 13" if it had FireWire (don't care for the plastic version), but Apple, who claims they "don't do cheap crap" continues to cut corners on their small laptops.

I will be getting a new MacBook the minute they add Firewire to the 13" model! In the meantime my old PowerBook is doing a great job and just keeps rocking!! I do on location audio recording and Digidesign (the industry standard in DAW) uses FIREWIRE! get a clue Apple pleeeeese!!!
