So you end up printing screen-resolution images at printer resolution. Don't the printed images look awful? I mean, there's not much point in printing a contact sheet unless you can actually evaluate the images from the thumbnails, is there?

As the hint says, you'd be better off with an application like iPhoto so that you don't end up printing lots of grey. iPhoto also lets you include the title or comments etc.

Cool! I never knew about the index sheet in the slide show. I like it.

You can also just activate Quick Look, then (optionally) click the full screen icon then the index sheet icon. no need to start then stop the slideshow.
Also for celdkey;
File menu or Command-Y is Quick Look nn items.
File menu plus option, or Command-Option-Y is Slideshow nn items.
(which is what the article says)
