THIS IS THE ANSWER, I JUST FIXED IT on my computer.

1. Log into the Itunes store on your computer.
2. On the right under Quick links, open "Purchased"
3. In my case it was a TV show, so I clicked 'TV Shows' button on the top
4. I clicked the TV show I was trying to stop auto-continuing downloading and at the bottom of the screen unchecked the Auto download HD.

This will prompt a window that asks if you want to auto hide HD SD videos.

Hope this is applicable to your issue. B)

Hey, I was having the same problem today. I don't know if you guys ever found the "cure" to this insanity but if not I think I found a fix! Once I hit delete the first time on the downloading shows, the just said "stopped". Here's the catch if you then hit delete again it just gets rid of it! I closed iTunes and then reopened it and it didn't ask to download them! Now it seems like they are gone for good.

I have this problem right now. I haven't bought many movies through iTunes, but now that I have an apple TV I thought I'd get one. So I bought it using iTunes with my laptop, but I never intended to watch it on my laptop. Now I have a 1.2 gig movie downloading, and an iTunes 'extra' file, which is 2.3 gigs downloading. I know storage is cheap these days, but I don't want 3.5 gigs of video on my laptop which I don't plan to use. I've already accessed the video through the Apple TV just fine, but I can't tell iTunes to stop downloading.

I've tried deleting it multiple times from iTunes.
I've logged in to the 'purchased' 'videos' tabs and couldn't get it to stop.

What's a guy to do?
