Excel 2008 best design practices

Just got a consulting position at a large company, and it's the first time I've touched a Mac in 20 years (please forgive me). Now they want me to put together an Excel best design practices handbook, and I'm still learning the differences between Office for Windows and Office for Mac.

Two questions:

1. Where can I find a comprehensive list of differences between the two platforms' Excel applications?

2. Has anybody published a best design practices paper (hard copy or virtual) specifically for Excel 2004 and/or 2008?
