I was very excited when I read that MobileMe synchronizes Outlook on my old PC with my mac. I still occasionally use my old PC, and it also seemed like a great way to transfer data, and even keep both current for years to come. Most important for me are contacts/address book. But then I discovered that the categories are not synchronized :-(
Does anyone know a workaround? It seems to me pretty clear that the categories correspond to groups in address book, but how do I keep it in sync? It is very important info for me, I use it for example to mail announcements in French only to French people in my contacts etc.

Unfortunately, this is kind of a common problem for all kinds of sync stuff. I have ALWAYS had a similar problem with syncing between Outlook and my Palm Treos. I use "labels" in the Outlook calendar and it will not sync with the equivalent on the Treo.
End result is that I am not aware of any work around.
