If Q from James Bond wouldn't be blown away and/or wet himself as a result of whatever Apple announces, I for one will boycott the company for life. FWIW, I want it to contain a portable version of the large hadron collider. I'm dangerously low on big-bang-era subatomic particles in my apartment!

First poster to voice their displeasure and disappointment with Apple's announcements gets...a netbook!
I already commented how most people do exactly that because the rumor sites spill all the beans, taking away the excitement of the event. The result, Macworld decided to delete my post.

Why is there never a live video stream for these things? :(
They haven't done a live stream in years. It will surely be available for streaming later today or tomorrow, and available for download on iTunes as a video podcast, which is much nicer to watch than a stream. Search Keynote in iTunes and you can download many of the older keynote speeches.

Random thought and perhaps a stupid question: Is there any other way to get the MacWorld Live Update other than hitting "refresh" on my browser? It feels very 20th century to me. A million apologies if it's been talked to death already, I'm just thinkin'/sayin'. :)
No matter what the form, thanks for keeping us outside Moscone up to date!
Best,

Oh, well I know about that. But I like it live! I want to be surprised with the new features as they are unveiled. By the time the videos are up, we already know everything that was said.

13-inch can also take up to 8GB; up to 500GB of storage, or 256GB SSD. The built-in backlit LED keyboard is standard as well. And it's got FireWire 800 port. MacBook Pro deserves it. So the 13-inch is bumped up to "MacBook Pro" and it starts at just $1199. Less expensive than the 13-inch aluminum MacBook it replaces.
This is confusing. Who has the FireWire 800? The sentence begins with the 13" but doesn't really clarify. Is there now a 13" MacBook Pro?

"10:17 PT - DM: Leopard is the most successful software product Apple has ever had,"
I have to say Leopard is the FIRST Apple OS that I HATE with a passion. Been here since OS 4. Loss of so many great functions, especially custom folder views, which have really hurt my productivity. Hype is hype and bs is bs. Leopard is lazy and dysfunctional in so many ways, the worst mac os ever....
