Wondering if there are plans to expand FCE canon camcorder support. I am looking at the HV30 or HV 40, but the SW only supports up to HV10 and HV20 which are older models. Any information will help to make a decision.

Thanks, BigKen

If you are using Final Cut Express 4.0.1 it supports Canon Vivxa HV30. I own a HV30 and have been editing HD 30 frames with Final Cut Express. I have had no issues with capturing the HD footage from the camera. The program recognizes the camera.

Only thing is HDV takes up a lot of hard drive space. ~60 minutes took up 60 GB of my hard drive.
