I can't imagine that i'm the only iMac user out there that has run into this problem, so if there is anyone out there that can give a fellow Mac'er a helping hand.....PPPPLEASE !!! images/icons/confused.gif

I am going to guess the problem is not having MSN Passport. You may have to sign up for it whether you want to or not. Be forewarned that it can be used as spyware.
Something else to try. Go to:
You can link to the full Microsoft site from there. Explore the issue of signing on as a Mac user in their data base.
A bit of history: Until last month Microsoft did not support Macintoshes on its analaog and DSL services. It is possible they are still adapting in your area.
(Finally, all the hassle I went through with getting my DSL service and mistakenly being signed up and charged for MSN is somehow useful!)

Also, anyone who is using Passport can note it is not required to use MSN Messenger, MSN Hotmail, ect. That's just a ploy by Microsoft to get people to sign up for Passport. They want the service to look as poular as possible, as they want the gov't to adopt it into proposed systems to verify everyone's identity on the internet. And M$'s using the number of registered users to argue how popular their service is. Although studies have shown only 1 in 10 Passport users actually use the service, most signed up because they thought they had to for their Hotmail, ect.
Alright, I'm finished being off-topic now...
