It took 15 minutes to show up, and then 5 minutes of frustration but it did finally work. Better than last time, it took 10 hours for me to get the update for 2.0.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY APPLE'S PROFESSIONALS, BECAUSE THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL WORK THEY'RE DOING; I'VE BEEN WATING FOR THIS UPDATE SINCE APPLE ANNOUNCED IT AND I EVEN PUT A REMINDER TO THAT.

I have been running 3.0 GM and when I try to do an update it says 3.0 is the latest version and will not download anything further.
Was GM the final release?
Pls post the build number / file name of the final 3.0 release.

It feels great to be one of the first people in the world to get it. It only took me 15 minutes for the whole process. I feel sorry for people who does it later today.

Does the update disrupt the data already on the phone? If it does, does it put the data back on via a backup restore or a resync? I sync between two computers, and I'd love to update using the computer I have with me before I make it back to my home computer, but not if I have to restore the synchronized content.

Yes, the GM was the final release. Developers with the 3.0 GM will not be getting the update as they're already running it.

The GM (Gold Master) is identical to the iPhone 3.0 update released today...Version 3.0 (7A341)
