I have been looking for a simple and affordable solution to connect an External Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse to my MBP. Does anyone have any product recommendations on how to accomplish this?

Not sure I understand the question. You plug the external keyboard into one of the USB ports. Plug the mouse into the keyboard. Plug the monitor into the display port; you may need an adapter of some kind depending on the age of the display and what kind of port your version of the MPB has; it's changed over time. An apple store genius or probably someone on this forum could probably tell you what you need given the model of the display and MBP. Is this what you're asking?

Agreed. There is nothing to it.

Attach the monitor directly to the MB or use the proper adapter. Then the keyboard can be hooked up USB or Bluetooth depending on the type you by.

Do this all the time with an Apple CinemaDisplay and run the MB as a second monitor for extra windows and tools.

My recommendation would be to fine a keyboard, mouse and monitor that you like and go with that. In general, just about any USB mouse and USB keyboard will work with a Mac. Some of the "extra" buttons might not work without a driver and many companies do not supply Mac drivers (there are some other options for extra buttons on mice...some third party software/driver), but the general functions will work. For a keyboard, it might not have the Mac "labels" (i.e. might have a Windows key and the Command key will not be labeled as such).

For a monitor, just about any monitor will work. You will just need the right adapter, as noted, depending on which MacBook Pro you have.
