To really take advantage of Mikey you need AudioFile Engineering's app "FiRe" (http://www.audiofile-engineering.com/), a true stereo recorder for the iPhone and Touch. It's still 1.0, but a promised .01 release will let you fine-tune the gain and give you some other options. It also provides Broadcast WAV metadata that's compatible with some of the better desktop applications that are out there.
