I just installed the update and spent a few minutes experimenting with the iPhone gestures. I must say I'm very impressed. Gestures provide an efficient and natural way to control the AppleTV and are a welcome addition. Overall the AppleTV feels much more responsive and I appreciate the UI enhancements, including being able to browse movies by genre (finally).
This is a positive step forward, but I'd still like to see a major update to allow things like widgets and live streaming. While there at it, I hope Apple updates the UI to place more emphasis on my content and less on the iTunes Store. A request that has been echoed by many users.

[quote name='Conrad']Great update! I think the AppleTV is becoming better all the time.True. As much as I complain about Apple's lack of love for the Apple TV, it really is a handy media device. Just wish they would show it some attention so I could feel better recommending it to others.
