Hey there, i was wondering whether or not Photoshop 7.0 Elements is the same as Photoshop 7.0, and if they work on the Mac OS X, and, if you know where i can get it, could u like it please?

Elements is not the same as the full 7.0 version. It is a "lite" version of Photoshop but for what most people want it will do the job.
Elements does not have the same tools for doing massive image work but will do cropping, toning, sizing, etc. easily.
Elements and full-blown PS are available for Mac. You can download trials of each from the Adobe site.

The members might be able to help more if they know what you'll be painting and how advanced the software must be. Photoshop or PS Elements might not be the best software for your artwork needs. Since you mentioned painting artwork that leaves out Adobe Illustrator (vector software). But have you looked into the Wacom tablet (see video on the right) or even the software Coral ? Also peek at ColorIT, which is a powerful paint program, but not as powerful as PS. I used it before I got Photoshop and is less expensive. Some of the serious pros of course have all these softwares for different features/functions. They want an arsenal of software. So, just curious what you'll be drawing and what level?
