I doubt the reason provided for pulling the ad.

I bet the real reason was Microsoft found that consumers who viewed the ad actually thought the vomiting was caused by the husband's Browser and OS choice.

I'm betting they created something gross & controversial so the marketing is more effective as a viral thing than from the ad itself. Probably particularly targeted to teens - 20's since they tend to like gross stuff anyway. Whatya know, just in time to try to grab some attention away from Apple's Back to School special. Hmmm.
