I won't be upgrading to 2.5 because of Final Draft's dreadful "we hate the customer" activation policy. Their online activation has NEVER worked so I have to wait until west coast business hours to call and get a manual activation - worse than Microsoft!
This has bit me more than once. Stay away! Why hasn't either FD review mentioned this?

Lack of the option to number scenes is a BIG drawback in my opinion. When you're scripting an infomercial or a long format corporate/industrial, reference scene numbers are very helpful. A Scene Navigator like Final Draft has would also be immensely helpful. This program is extremely rudimentary compared to its big brother.

I own Final Draft AV, and I've been intrigued by its potential usefulness; however, I have two big problems with the software:
1. While there is an export option, you lose all your nice columned formatting. So that means if you want to share scripts with folks who don't have AV, you can't. That's a huge strike in my opinion it effectively ends any opportunity for collaboration.
2. I've found Final Draft's activation system really cumbersome -- every time you get a new system or hard drive, you have to re-activate. On top of that, the "support" staff are usually less than helpful and friendly.
In fact, after my last difficulties re-activating the product I had legally purchased, I just dropped Final Draft and went out and purchased Movie Magic Screenwriter.
