Looks like you reviewed an older version of this app. Version 1.3 has been out for the last few weeks and blows the previous versions out of the water.
It has a slick new interface, multi-page reading, a really handy slider bar in the reading view, and it fixes that character rendering issue you mentioned.
Update before posting a review!

Agreed that 1.3 blows the previous versions out of the water — the UI is much, much slicker.
But I'm still seeing major text rendering issues in 1.3 that are pretty frustrating in app so heavily text-focused.
How does, say, http://daringfirebal...2009/05/verizoniphonerumors render for you in the app today?

"The only other premium options—disabling rotation, showing your unread count on the app’s icon, and the ability to share pages from your list on sites like Twitter—don’t do much for me, either."
These are a few features you can't find currently in Instapaper, a similar popular app. So I would say that these features are a plus for Read It Later.

Hey Lex,
This is Nate (developer for RIL), thanks for the review!
I just checked that Daring Fireball post and it seems to render fine for me on 1.3. What problem are you seeing with it? You can shoot me an email at RIL@ideashower.com or post at http://readitlaterlist.com/support/
Thanks!
P.S. I think the first commenter's confusion may be from the screenshot, that layout is from version 1.0.

Stanza also allows you to view web pages, but you have to paste the URL into the desktop version of Stanza and then share the web page with the iPhone app. The mac version of Stanza is surprisingly good at recognizing just the text of an article and ignoring the adverts and Stanza on the iphone is superb for reading.

Actually you can access RSS feeds directly on the Stanza iPhone app, which cuts out the need for the desktop download and rendering of the web page, I have only just discovered this, I can't praise stanza highly enough, I can see why Amazon acquired it. BTW I have no connection to the developers, it just happens to be one of my favorite apps.
