Safari not responding. Any idea why ?

Scratch that last one! You should indeed be able to install OSX 10.5.x . Sorry about the mix up...

Eric,

Yeah, I now have Leopard installed on the PowerBook. Installation of Leopard seemed to taken awhile. Perhaps
the G4 chip was having trouble with the new OS.

Anyway, the computer is running well and Safari in particular is running very fast.
