I finalised my first movie in this version of iMovie (previously had 05 or 06 I think) and notice that things are different. When I did the SHARE : iDVD - it did like in the old version but this time my music and audio was broken up and spread all over the movie, in places it wasn't supposed to be in.
So I went back in and had a look at the project, the music and video all played perfectly when previewed right thru from beginning to end. How to fix something that is seemingly not broken? This time I did EXPORT : MOVIE and it did the same. Perfect video footage and photos, but once again threw my music and audio from original camera all over the place. Now what?
So, back in and did EXPORT : SAVE AS QUICKTIME MOVIE - all worked out great, audio all fixed, music in the right place, BUT.... stink resolution and very pixelated video footage (photos were still great). I looked at the properties of the export and it seemed to do it at 640 x whatever, which I figured to be quite small, so did AGAIN but this time at the next resolution 750 x whatever (something like that anyway) and did EXPORT : SAVE AS QUICKTIME MOVIE. Perfect on all levels.
My question - why can't I get audio to fall in line with how it was in the project just like in a previous version of iMovie? Why do I have to save it as a Quicktime movie to get it to work? Simple SHARE is not an option any more.

iMovie 09 - Exporting

I'd just do it as a quicktime movie everytime (i do this myself) as imovie files are very complex and large, versus movies are just one movie file, all together.
For quality I'd export at the absolute maximum you can do, but if you did not shoot in HD in the first place, then you're stuck with the same low quality footage.
