Mailplane download problem

I can't download Mailplane. Even from the Apple download sit, my browser jumps me to various other pages. Tried Firefox and Safari. ???

Mailplane is a waste of money, no one needs it- but that's a different issue

Gmail.com and also using gears- or make your own SSB with Fluid
