@kenhare
theres a button on the side of the thread
And I guess I'm fine then as I never had to circumvent anything- never did a thing to the software (beside of course download it!)
Actually, i have not yet purchased a mac clone- which is clearly not stealing.
And this name-calling is rather childish of you- is that picture of you in your profile?
And I certainly take-offense to words such as 'third-world' and attacks on those countries' education systems (many of which outrank the US's)
Yet again, we are incredibly off-topic debating threads long past, it would be best to remain on topic and discuss the issue at hand.
ps. if you're gonna insult someone- you better use insults that you could actually make a case for applying- hypocrite? I mean seriously

I would suggest that piracy is in fact stealing, and should be treated in the same way as traditional theft.
24 songs = about $24 = petty theft = community service and a small fine

BAM, discussion closed. I'm just going to agree with you arcadeos. Despite the "severe" loss of revenue(whatever), people will continue to buy music from itunes and other download merchants and CD's from the local Best buy etc. etc. like I myself do. Your reasoning would go a long way in changing my actions if I were in the defendants predicament.

Then my apologies. I must have ascribed to you an element of your cohort, jman.

Accusations, not name-calling. Name-calling would be, for example, when you call people "trolls" simply because they oppose your view and support Apple. Or how about when you wrote "... YOU FANBOYZ ..."; going back almost a full year we have "Look Wondercrow, you need to brush up on both your law, and user agreements, so stop trolling and don't reply on this thread again unless you have something useful to say." Therein is the perennial favourite of every 5- to ten-year-old, making fun of your opponent's name.

Not the education system (I've taught in many Third World countries) but the general education that stealing--especially from "The West"--is OK.

True; to that end I'll cap my posts at two.

Anyone who regularly reads the forums has ample example of your hypocrisy. According to you Apple is wrong and evil for their iPhone kill-switch but the one buried in Google's Android is OK. Not to mention your flagrant support of pirating OS X while at the same time saying things like:
bq. "if they want to use the APIs for amazon, then they have to follow amazon's rules, it makes perfect sense, they don't have to give out the APIs, but if they do, it makes sense to not have any competition, its their site/service."
