This is a dangerous hint if you select a folder with hundreds of bookmarks. If that happens you will die of old age before the first page opens. Force Quitting will stop Safari but you will have the same problem when restarting. To fix the preference you will need to open your Safari preference file (com.apple.Safari.plist found in ~/Library/Preferences) with Property List Editor. Select Root>NewWindowbehavior and change the number 5 to 1. Save and quit. When you reopen Safari it will now open to a blank page. Change the preferences as you like from there.

Somehow I got this into my mind, from the title of the article, that Finder had a way of showing multiple finder windows in one window with tabs, like Safari shows multiple websites with tabs. I need to read better!
But....how cool would it be for Apple to add an enhancement to Finder window views that had tabs along the top when a user needs multiple Finder windows open at the same time, but without taking up so much desktop real estate?

Tabbed "Findering" (think "Tabbed Browsing"), yes Tabbed "Findering" would be an interesting interface and many would probably use it. Here's to hoping that Snow brings this subtle interface change to the Finder.

Heh. I always get a chuckle out of someone mentioning CNN as a mainstream news site. Their viewership is something like 750,000 people on average. A popular youtube video gets more viewers.
Of course, you'd probably choke on your own bile if you had to write down the letters for the most watched cable news network on television. That would be fun to see, too.

"To the disappointment of many users, Safari hasn't traditionally offered much when it comes to saving your sessions. Re-opening your tabs from your last browsing session is not very automatic (or obvious),..."
Well, it is under "History" – "Reopen All Windows from Last Session". It is certainly not "automatic", as sometimes you do not want that, and pretty obvious?!
