I love the fact that it's coming out for Mac, then later for Windows. I think Mac people need to support companies that are willing to work on bringing out games for our platform, rather than just porting existing Windows games.

Spiderweb's always turned out some pretty good product as I recall, too. And frankly that matters more to me than Mac-first.

That said: Hours?

Recent Zelda games take days.
Ultima 3 took weeks.
Nethack typically takes years.

@bastion Likely hours and hours. I played the first two and it took weeks for me to get to the end. I love this series. Great old-school gaming at its best.

I was always interested in playing the old Avernum games, but I was afraid I wouldn't like the story. The story is what usually keeps me playing the game. Is the story any good in any of the Avernum games?
