Hi,

Is there a way (using Terminal, I guess) to alter what the system profiler reports for a system's video card and VRAM? My kids are using a 2004 old eMac with Radeon 9200 (32 VRAM). There are several games that have a higher video card requirement and still play decently. However, some refuse to load because they are checking the system profiler at launch. If I could alter the report, these games might actually play. In particular, Lego Star Wars II will not load, but Civ IV and Age of Empires III (hold down the V key at launch to override the check) play decently.

thanks.

No. VRAM is fixed; it's not something that you can alter or have any control over. It's physical, specialized RAM connected to the graphics subsystem.
