"While Cupertino didn’t exactly play nice with Greenpeace, there’s little doubt the environmental group’s constant badgering had an impact on Apple’s green policy."
Actually there is HUGE doubt considering Apple had been making these moves for over 20 years.
Greenpeace can claim all they want but in reality it was just a natural progression on Apple's part not pandering to a bunch of Nazi hippies.

Hopefully Greenpeace will rethink Guide to Greener Electronics now that it's obvious HP mainly makes promises and grandstands about whatever little HP does to make their products 'greener', while Apple delivers.

When will greenpiece activists be treated as they deserve, i.e.as eco-taliban terrorists?

Greenpeace should be sued for truth in labeling. Their tactics are rarely ever peaceful. Wish they'd just go away. While it is admirable to want a better environment, these extremist whackos push away more people from the cause than they bring in.

Green "Peace" huh, they sure don't seem very "peaceful" to me...

I wonder what toxic chemicals HP is now going to have to use to get that paint off their roof.

well if greenpeace was at all self-conscious they probably used biodegradable paint.

Anyway, vandalism isn't the way, it draws attention... for a minute. A lawsuit over false advertising would have been more effective, if they actually did advertise falsely.

Just how, in your mind, does, at most, vandalism compare to burning and disfiguring little girls as punishment for trying to get an education, or car bombing innocent civilians? Sorry, but this over-the-top right wing rhetoric in these discussions is really starting to annoy me.

This just shows us, but probably not Greenpeace, that "promises to be more Green" from companies are WORTHLESS. Why give them credit for empty promises to do better? Like the other poster said, give credit for those who DELIVER...like Apple.

hgpurple - where in the hell did that come from?! While you're at it, why not compare Greenpeace's actions with genocide, Napoleon's rule, and the plague? Then you'll really be able to diminish the wrongness of vandalism. Sheesh!

Since you asked, I'll tell you where that came from: Spiderbat used the term "Taliban terrorist". In no way do I condone vandalism, but at the same time I get really tired of the hyperbole surrounding these discussions anytime an article on "green" or "environmental" comes out. Just needed to throw in a little perspective.

i'm not right wing at all, but if somebody spray paints recycle you a-hole on my front door, i won't say oh it's ok, at least they didn't burn my children

i'm pro environment and the more ecologically minded development of computers and other electronic devices, but to prove your point, you don't spray paint it everywhere, else you are just another punk's not dead or 9/11 inside job defacing other people's property.
