I can imagine this would be really useful, but at this point I'm so used to using ssh directly that I imagine I'll just keep using it.
However, I consider the direct use of ssh to establish tunnels a particular form of brain damage best avoided if you don't have it yet, so I'll point this utility out to anyone who asks...

See also SSHKeychain which manages SSH tunnels as well as SSH keys.

SSH Tunnel Manager works nicely (free). I use it to manage remotely MySQL databases. Excellent software.
