I have searched and searched the internet trying to find a solution to this Epson Print CD issue.

Just upgraded to Snow Leopard, and like everybody else, my Epson CD software doesn't work anymore. I tried all the things people have suggested on this message thread. They didn't work for me. I also tried all the things Epson suggested. Likewise... nothing. (They suggest reinstalling the Snow Leopard software.... which took forever!!!)

But I finally solved it! I found a blog where a guy provides a template to use in Photoshop, which I use all the time -- and which is far superior than anything the Epson software could do anyway. His instructions are set up for an Epson R260. I have an Epson Stylus R320, but I tried this template and it worked perfectly. No more Epson Print CD for me!

here's a link to the blog:
Photoshop Template for Printing to CD

looks like everyone here finally got either one of the solution to work for them, and here i am after trying all the above mention solution, NOTHING!! it doesn't work.

i tried reset the printer and update it again..."print" button still grey out. on the "select printer" option there is epson R230 inside other than "other printer" but after i select it, it still says printer: not selected and therefore "print" button still grey out
tried manual print and there are no place for me to select source as CD/DVD (only paper sizes) therefore can only print paper, the same problem with the PS template, since i can find anywhere that offer to select sources so i can select CD/DVD i can't print the template

im using R230 btw

anyone got any other solution to this matter?? don't tell me to buy another brand printer pls :P

cheers

I do hope you have found the solution by now, but I too have read all the instructions on this forum, and could not find where the "source" to switch to DVD was, until now. I think that is the nature of the driver updates, always relocating things and renaming things.

Assuming you are printing directly from Photoshop using the method outlined
by Josh, open the print dialog box in Photoshop.
Then click "Print Settings"
Then click the "Layout" drop-down menu and select "Print Settings"
Click the "Media Type" drop-down and select "CD/DVD"

That worked for me and I am running a Epson R300, OS 10.6.7, Photoshop 10.0.2 and whatever the latest Epson drivers are. I am not sure why selecting media type switches the source, but it worked for me.

Actually, I am thrilled I no longer need some little program to print DVDs from and do it straight from Photoshop.

I, too, cannot get Print CD to recognise my printer and this came with my brand new XP-600 straight out of the box! I got so fed up with it, I copied the picture I was trying to print via the software onto an SD card and printed it directly from the printer itself. Worked fine! Until Epson brings out either some better software, or updates their drivers, this is what I'll have to do!

I think I may have found a fix. Firstly I repaired permissions, deleted printer, reinstalled printer, deleted Print CD software, reinstalled latest version etc. BUT, the key seemed to be printing a CD via usb hard wired first. You may have to select the Epson in the box but it deffo shows up on my Mac. After that, there didnt seem to be a problem wireless.
