I access all of my MP3s from a server, so I am wondering if that is the root of the problem. Occasionally, a few files from each playlist will show a little exclamation mark next to them. If I try to play them, my iMac says that the file can't be found. Dragging the files back from the Finder to the playlist restores the files, though. Other files on the playlist work fine.
Sometimes I think the computer is just doing this for spite. If I could, I'd use my old copy of SoundJam, but since it runs in the background in Classic mode, events that tax the processor (such as opening a window or typing a key) cause the sound to skip.
