Hi guys,
Wonder if you can help,
I recently did an update for security updates and itunes, and my macbook 2.0 ghz (model A1181) seemed to have overheated during the update and crashed. I rebooted it and seems ok.
I replaced the fan which totally failed after that.
But now the problems are
1. running slower than normal. The beach ball seems to hang on for a while.
2. While running XP under parallels the internet sharing dosent work whilst I use Btooth to tether it with the Mobile phone. But XP would connect to the internet if I use Wifi to share the internet connection. Subsequent to connecting the mac to the internet via wifi. Disabling wifi and retethering the Btooth works fine…
Repairing permissions dosent seem to help at all.
Other than considering Reinstalling Leopard. Does anybody have any ideas of how to “fix” a potentially botched update.
Currently running 10.5.8
IF a reinstall is needed, how do I do it without wiping off the data and settings on the mac?
Bob
