Hopefully someone out there can help me.

I am having a strange issue with my brand new Mac Mini 2.26 ghz.

I have it hooked up to my Sony Bravia KDL40v3000 via the Dr Bott Mini display port - hdmi connector supplied by apple when I bought the mini last week. Everything looks great and I get full 1080p resolution.

Heres the problem. I bought it last week and everything was fine, but for the last 3 days I will be using the Mac and for now reason the picture just disappears, it doesn't seem to be related to any particular action, sometimes I just open a new finder window and it goes. Sometimes I can just pull the HDMI out the tv, plug back in and it comes back, other times I have to reboot the mac, and weirdly it can be fine for hours, but other times it'll come back and disappear again within seconds!

To further complicate things I have tried connecting to another TV, a Philips 720p, and I get the same issue!

I am pretty sure the hdmi cable is fine as it was previously being used by and EVA8000 Netgear media streamer and I never lost picture in over a year of use.

I have updated the OS with all the updates it found during system update, other than that I have done nothing else.

Please help if anyone has any idea how to solve this.

Mike
