Re: Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10.

I think you mean digital image stabilization, not optical.

Why did you not cover the Kodak Zi8? The Zi6 is pretty outdated... you even stated it's a year old.

How about you compare apples to apples, not applesauce.

@ jmkowalski

I was going to type the exact same thing. A new Flip compared to the Zi6??? Where is the Zi8? I love mine and would never choose the new Flip over my Zi8.

The writer needs to review his articles for quality, up-to-date information, and (most importantly) typos.

We have a lovely search engine. Had you used it you would have found my review of the Zi8. Read the review and you'll find I found it to have some serious flaws.

How about the Zoom Q3?

Outdated article. Reminds me of Consumer Reports.

Some of this was culled from an article we produced earlier this year.

As for the Zoom Q3, we have a review in the works. However, it still wouldn't fit in this article as it shoots standard definition, not HD.

I'm trying to compare more options than article covered: the SVP brand, Creative Labs, and a new Samsung model; and how they compare to Kodak and Flip. 14 yr old wants "flip" camera, just trying to get best buy/option. Are any of these brands of pocket HD camcorders compared by this site?

Take a look at our roundup of pocket camcorders from last September. It doesn't include all the brands you're interested, but it's a good place to start.

As I've reviewed all these camcorders I'll say that my current favorite is the latest Flip MinoHD. You can read that review here.
